US Bank Community Possible Grant Program. The U.S. Bank Foundation supports communities through work, home and play grants. Community Livability Grant. Each year, Prosper Portland seeks proposals from community-based organizations for projects that foster vibrant and healthy neighborhoods and improve the prosperity of area residents and businesses. Projects must be located within the following neighborhoods:
The Kitty Fund Mother-Led Business Grant. Launched in 2020, the grant offers $1,000 grants to businesses founders who identify as mothers. Your business must have between two and 50 employees, be U.S.-based and have revenue of $5 million or less. Application deadline in April 16, 2024.
The American Dream Awards. This program shines a spotlight on small businesses that epitomize the modern American Dream through their innovative solutions, outstanding community contributions, and commitment to sustainable business practices. These prestigious awards are available to all for-profit businesses operating in the United States. If you become a recipient, you'll receive a package that comprises $1,000 in funding, access to a small business accelerator, media coverage, and various other perks! Feel free to apply for one or more of the categories listed below that align with your business's strengths and values. Those categories are: Big Dreamer Award, Community Hero Award, Inclusive Excellence Award, Innovator Award, Legacy Builder Award, Resilience Rockstar Award, and the Sustainability Star Award. Outdoor Dining Small Business Support Program. The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) has available funds from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA). During the 2024 permit cycle, PBOT will be making available beneficiary funds of $2,500 per Outdoor Dining permit while funds are available. Funds are intended to help small business owners adjust to new Outdoor Dining guidelines and to promote compliant structures. The beneficiary program is only available for year-round street seat installations, whether bringing an existing structure into compliance or building a new installation. Prosperity Investment Program (PIP). The Prosperity Investment Program (PIP) offers a matching grant that helps businesses and property owners make tenant improvements and small and large-scale improvements to new and existing buildings.
The program provides 50 percent matching funds for approved project hard and soft costs in certain TIF districts. Total grant may not exceed $50,000, except for the Interstate Corridor TIF District, which offers up to $75,000 with a 75/25 match.
The match for the grant may be financed through Prosper Portland. In order to provide benefits to the widest range of eligible recipients, a grant recipient or property owner may only receive one PIP grant within a 10-year period. PIP grants cannot be used to improve single family residences. Property must be zoned or have an allowed use of: Commercial, Employment, and Industrial or Multi-Dwelling. Prosper Portland Small Business Repair Grant. This program offers up to $10,000 to local small businesses that are in need of immediate repairs! This is a fantastic opportunity for business owners to take advantage of. More details and the application can be found here.
