This event is hosted by the Multnomah County Health Department at the St Johns Library.
Do you have questions about health insurance? Open enrollment for the Health Insurance Marketplace (Healthcare.gov) is from November 1, 2022, to January 15, 2023. During this time, you can sign up to purchase a private insurance plan.
Our trained application assistants will be at libraries in November and December to help you apply, renew, or choose a better plan.
We can also help see if you qualify for the Oregon Health Plan (Medicaid), or renew your benefits.
To Apply, You Will Need the Following:
Proof of income
Social security number
Proof of identity
Citizenship or immigration information (if you have it) for every person who will be on the insurance plan
Other health insurance information (your current health insurance, or information about insurance that you might be able to get through your job)
Proof of pregnancy (if pregnant)
Proof of address
No appointment is needed, just show up. This is a free event.
